Our innovation methodology means that each project is handled using a variant of the same detailed process. We approach projects in a structured way, matching the design program to the project requirements, but ensuring no stone is left unturned.
A great example of this is “Project 281”. We can’t mention the client due to confidentiality, but it is a tier-one, market leader in the design and manufacture of quality furniture.
We worked directly with their knowledgeable and motivated project team, producing a scaffolded discussion document based on a series of interviews. Each member of the team participated with both open and private feedback sessions. All opinions and the raft of data gathered was collated, analysed and with clarity of thought, presented back to the team. This created a valuable strategic direction for product development and a comprehensive design brief.
Strategic analysis is an important part of our process; it is the analysis of internal want, external market requirements and commercial imperatives that combine to define the overall direction.
In this case the brief was used to focus and direct a new range of product development. Moreover, the brief content has been used as a guide over the past two years - as well as check measures for key external partners. Our conclusions of two years ago are still valid and verified by end users.
The final output is an anticipated client launch scheduled for the first quarter of 2018.
